The Penguins Claim Cal O’Reilly Off Re-Entry Waivers

The Pittsburgh Penguins have claimed forward Cal O’Reilly off of re-entry waivers from the Phoenix Coyotes, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

O’Reilly, 25, has split this season between Phoenix and the Nashville Predators. O’ Reilly has spent the majority of the season with Phoenix, where he has collected five points (2G-3A) in 22 games. In 27 total games this year, O’Reilly has two goals, four assists and six points while averaging 12:53 minutes.

Cal is the older brother of Ryan O'Reilly of the Colorado Avalanche.
