Playoff Gameday – Round One, Game Three – Lightning

St. Pete Times Forum – 7:30PM

TV: ROOT Sports, CBC

Series Tied 1-1.

Team Notes:

The Crosby rumors are swirling.

It doesn't look like there will be any line-up changes for the Pens.

Puck Daddy has more on those rally drums.

The Lightning are also giving away blue beards.

What they're saying about the Lightning:

Huge game tonight. And the Lightning are giving away 15,000 rally drums tonight. Jesus, it's going to be noisy. Both teams come into Tampa for tonight's game on equal ground having won one game a piece. The Lightning had a huge game in Game 2, scoring three big goals in the first period and the Pens really never found their way back after that. There were lots of great things to say about the Lightning's performance from Game 2 and if they can have a repeat of that again tonight, they have every chance to win.

This is a pretty huge game.

There are a maximum five games remaining in this series.  Three of them will be in Tampa Bay.  The Pens need to win in the St. Pete Times Forum if they want to win this series.  This is their first shot and their opportunity to go back up in the series.  They can't fall apart like they did in game two.  We're looking for a performance more like game one.  Focus and determination are key here.  No idea what Tampa Bay is like during the playoffs, but it seems like the organization is doing everything possible to make the building loud.  The Pens will need to take that energy out of the building as soon as they can.
