We're on press row in Oshawa, Ontario right now covering the 2011 NHL Rookie tournament.
The Penguins are about to take the ice for their morning skate.
We'll be updating this post for the remainder of practice.
-Penguins rookies take the ice.
-Robert Bortuzzo looks like he's been working on his shot. Looks improved since last year.
-Keven Veilleux rings a wrister off the cross bar. 20 bucks says he drops the gloves tonight against Toronto.
-Joe Morrow standing out during puck-moving drills. Kid's a beast.
-Paul Thompson looks like a pure goal scorer, lifting one past goalie invite Maxime Lagace.
-Two seconds later, Eric Tangradi comes down and roofs Lagace. Welcome to NHL rookie camp.
-Beastmode Veilleux annihilates Patrick Killeen blocker-side. Two straight snipes.
-Free agent invitee Stefan Fournier has some sick hands and a great wrist shot.
-Veilleux hasn't missed a chance yet. Burying every shot.
-Daniil Tarasov, known as a sniper, shows he can play a little in front of the net, too.
-Bill Guerin passing back and forth with Tangradi, one-on-one.
-Alex Grant and Alain Nasreddine going at it in drills. Grant hit Nas into the glass and then Nas gave him a pop.
He's also teaching them how to score a big goal with 0.1 seconds left:
-Veilleux bats a rebound in, out of mid-air. Jesus.
-Brandon DeFazio reminds me of a smaller James Neal. He's #18 too.
-Coach Tony Granato telling Joe Morrow that he holds on to the puck too long at the point.
-Fighter Jessey Astles tips a nice deflection in. He's got skill for a heavyweight.
-Ben Street vs. Zach Sill in face-offs. They did 10 straight. Street only lost one of them.
-Umbrella shooting drill, with Tangradi working on screens and tips in front of the net.
-Carl Sneep is all business on the point. No mistakes.
-Philip Samuelsson needs some work on his point shot accuracy.
-Joe Morrow has a nasty slap-shot one timer from the point. Future power play guy for sure.
That's it for practice.
Game tonight vs Toronto at 7.
Check back here, jokes.
