No big deal Crosby officially signs unlimited year contract

Oh yea there is this now via the Pens:

Crosby, 24, agreed to terms with the Penguins on Thursday on a 12-year, $104.4-million deal. On Sunday it became official, as Crosby inked his name on the dotted line. Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the new deal couldn’t be signed until July 1 at noon. The newly signed deal will start in the 2013-14 season and run through 2024-25.

Twitter is once again the place to be for news. Our "TPBHockeyNews" list is a good follow for Penguins and NHL writers. We've embedded a live stream of Tweets from that feed below. You may have to refresh it though… it doesn't seem to work that well.
