According to the Pittsburgh Penguins' website, Jordan Staal has been fined $2,500 for boarding Braydon Coburn. The $2,500 fine is the maximum allowed under the NHL CBA.
It could have been worse. Even though Staal didn't look like he intended to hurt Coburn (and it doesn't appear that Coburn was injured) it was still a dangerous play. We'd guess that Staal now "has a record" according to the NHL after this fine.
The Pens play another game in like four minutes.
