Gameday 76 – Islanders

New York Islanders (31-33-11) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (47-22-6)

7:00 pm/et

TV: ROOT, MSG Plus 2

Consol Energy Center – Pittsburgh, PA

The Islanders suck. The Pens have an opportunity to pick up four big points in a home-and-home against them. It's important that they don't overlook this team and let those points slip away.

The last time the Penguins and Islanders played:

Man. Powerball.

Season Series: 4-0-0.

Last meeting that counted: December 10, 2011. Penguins won 6-3.

What we said in our recap:

That awkward moment when the Islanders fans realize their team sucks forever. The Penguins were down 2-0 early in this game. They didn't have Jordan Staal or Sidney Crosby. The D is in shambles as far as injuries. But the Pens turned a 2-0 deficit into a 6-3 win. Part of it was hard work and not panicking. Part of it was a terrible performance by Inigo Montoya, the Isles goalie.
