Gameday 23 – Senators

Ottawa Senators (10-9-2) @ Pittsburgh Penguins (12-6-4)

7:00 pm/et

TV: ROOT

CONSOL Energy Center, Pittsburgh, PA

Gonch is back, back again.

The Senators have won three of their last four games, but they lost five-in-a-row before that. They won six-in-a-row before that. This is definitely a streaky team. They also haven't played since Sunday.

Season Series: 0-0-0.

Last meeting that counted: March 15, 2011. Penguins won 5-1.

What we said in our recap:

The good news: The Penguins have scored 80 goals in the past two games. The bad news: The Oilers and Senators drink their own pee. And while the Canadiens also drink their own urine, they're still a playoff team. Six of the next seven games for the Pens' are against playoff teams. This is it.

What they're saying:

Today the NHL revealed the leaders for the 2012 NHL All-Star Game through the first week of fan balloting. Erik Karlsson is unbelievably leading the league in votes and Daniel Alfredsson is first amongst forwards in voting. While it's a fantastic start and could potentially go a long way to seeing these players be included in the ASG festivities, fans need to vote and vote often.

Thanksgiving 2007. What an emotional game. Following that win the Pens went on to win six of their next seven. This started their push to the playoffs that ended in the Stanley Cup Final

Because the only thing that can kill a senator is a call girl.
