Are Parise & Suter About to Bring the nWo to the NHL?

Since there haven't been any updates on the Zach Parise and Ryan Suter fronts, we now have things like this to talk about. From Michael Russo on Twitter:

Welcome to the New World Order?

For speculation sake, which teams have the cap space to take on both contracts?

As always, we head to CapGeek for that information.

We'll start with the teams that were rumored to be on Parise's "list" at one point or another: Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Chicago, New Jersey and Minnesota.

Out of those teams, the Devils and Red Wings have the most cap space. They each have about $16 million left to spend, however the Red Wings have more players on their payroll currently (therefore more money to spend on each individual player) and they also don't have the financial issues that the Devils do.

The Minnesota Wild have just under $16 million in cap space. The Penguins and Flyers have around $10 million each. The Blackhawks only have about $7.7 million.

The team with the most cap space? Suter's current team, the Nashville Predators. Of course, this could all change with a trade or two.

That said, no one has any idea what's going to happen. Or when. But it could be interesting. Or not. This could all mean nothing.
