PLAYOFF GAMEDAY – ECF GAME TWO – HURRICANES

carpensg
Penguins Lead Series 1-0

7:30PM/ET – Mellon Arena

Game One was four years ago.
All we've heard since then was how the Hurricanes have won five straight series that they have trailed 1-0.
The Penguins have won the last four series where they led 1-0.
One of these trends will be broken this round.

Eric Cole will play tonight.
Tuomo Ruutu will not.
Patrick Dwyer will take his place in the Hurricanes lineup.

The Penguins' lineup will likely remain the same as last game.

One of the main reasons many people hoped the Pens would play Carolina instead of Boston was the fact that the Pens would have home ice advantage.
The home crowd definitely has an impact on the game.

"You want to start off well in any playoff series, obviously, and being at home would help. We really feed off our crowd and play with a lot of energy at home."
Sidney Crosby

"You get excitement and adrenaline from your fans."
Matt Cooke

"There's an anticipation and a confidence level coming home… knowing that when we step on the ice they're going to be chanting 'Go Pens Go.' And you can feel that in the dressing room, you can feel the room shaking, you can feel it on your way out. And that adds to the jump in your team. When you get momentum swings in games, that's added to by the crowd."
Dan Bylsma

The bottom line is: Be loud.

If you can't get excited about being at an Eastern Conference Finals game, there's something wrong with you.

"Get busy living, or get busy dying."

Do it.

Go Pens.
