Penguins Want All-Star Game At Consol Energy Center & More

“The new Consol Energy Center will give us the opportunity to bring many such events to Pittsburgh,” Penguins president David Morehouse said. “We think it can help make Pittsburgh a destination for big national and regional events.”

The game was in Pittsburgh in 1990 at the Igloo.
Mario Lemieux did okay in that game.
That third goal made Wayne Gretzky cry.
This is by far our favorite part of the piece:

Martin Biron, Islanders

A decent stopper and an even better soldier, Biron might be the best answer for a team looking for goaltending insurance. The price won't be high — a third-rounder should do the trick. If Semyon Varlamov's injury lingers much longer, the Caps may have to kick Biron's tires.

Ryan Getzlaf has a sprain ankle that could cause him to miss the Olympics.
Stevie Y should be trying to get Jordan Staal on the phone as soon as possible.
The Hurricanes, Wild, Blue Jackets, Sharks, Bruins and Coyotes will start next season in Europe.
The Crosby/Talbot/Dryer commercial was voted the best NHL-themed commercial by NHL fans.
The Capitals and Penguins are featured in every commercial on the list.
This commercial from Canada should have made it:
