Kudos To Ben Koo and Derek Hanson for getting all of the hockey bloggers on bloguin together and having a weekly power rankings list. [Bloguin NHL]

We've never been ones to do power rankings, but it is actually fun to vote the Flyers last. But our vote couldn't keep them out of the top ten.

God, Toronto sucks.

Big game tonight.

Gameday later.

"- Reigning 2 time Eastern champion, Detroit, finds itself outside of the top ten to open the year."

That is directly from the Bloguin Power Ranking page. Nice try.

Is it just me, or do the Pens really seem to struggle with these long home stands?

Just saw this clip of some 9-year-old score an amazing goal in this 1-on-1 competition in Boston. I seem to recall an ad Sid did several years ago with a similar move.

Is it wrong of me to most enjoy the goalie's reaction? Talk about STUNNED!

#6 rockhopper 2009-10-17 12:03
Okay, I tried to use the YouTube button to include the clip, but me=fail. I know how to do this has been covered in previous cblogs. I'll try to find.

i think this is what your looking for

#9 rockhopper 2009-10-17 12:19
Yep, that's it. Thanks!

Still haven't found how to use the youtube button. Why won't bloguin let me access page 2 of recent posts? And, apparently, I am "Forbidden" from viewing the About Pensblog-FAQ-New Comments System.

Tough morning on cblog for me!

Weird rankings: 3-2-2, 3-3-1 teams above 4-0-1 and 5-1-1 teams?

I have to keep reminding myself that it's early in the season, but I'm getting a certain joy out Detroit's failures so far.

Oh, I was SOOOOOOO hoping that the average rank for the Flyers would be 8.7.

Alas, that fell to Calgary.

The Blue Jackets at #4? Granted I haven't watched them much yet this season, but does that seem a little high?

@ DA - I've probably caught three Jackets games this year and they looked relatively solid in each. I don't know if I'd call them the 4th best team as of now, but they have looked good.

Yeah and Colorado is at 10. They've played out of their minds so far. Hell Craig Anderson must be on roids. He's got something like a 1.99 GAA. Sick.

Hey man. Love the blog. Just curious if you want to swap links. I already added yours on mine: www.NHLsnipers.com

Thanks

Craig Anderson is on acid. I'm sure the bloggers are just waiting to see what happens when his stash runs dry.

This actually made me laugh pretty hard, and I'm not really sure why since it's only mildly funny. Chalk it up to scorekeeping an adult hockey tourney until midnight last night and since six this morning.

And I have a question for any beer league players in cblog. Why do you take it so fucking serious? When I have to start stacking penalties in adult B league, then its getting to be re-goddam-diculous.

Did someone mention Craig Anderson's acid? I didn't think he would share.
Lucky you.

Does everyone in Calgary own a Flames jersey?

Solid interview with Sid:

They call it the C of Red.

The Sid video does not work for me.....maybe it's just me? Perhaps i am struggling with it being at home.

It's ESPN's couch interviews. But, I just discovered it's from September, I guess I just hadn't seen it.

Raptor: Thanks for the youtube help. Gonna try it here even though I know the Gameday post is up.

Let's see if I can make this work.

The best view of the goalie's stunnedness is at about 0:48 in.
