As you may have gathered from the banner, today marks the 18th year since Badger Bob left us.
And while it is Thanksgiving, we have to at least honor that.

What a human.

RIP Badger Bob.

For those of you who have FSN Pittsburgh, there's a classic games marathon on today. The 'Shhh' game is on right now.

...still laughing 7 months later how Philly's Orange Crush just makes it look like the Wachovia Center is empty...

Flyers game six...that tying goal is still amazing. I love how quiet the arena is after Crosby scores.

Have a solid Thanksgiving, staff, cblog. You're all jokes, but, ya know.

Badger made hockey what it is today in Pittsburgh. Everyday is a great day for hockey.

The franchise was adrift when Coach Johnson took the helm, he steered the team toward excellence and that journey continues today in every aspect of the organization.. Sail On, Badger.. it is indeed A Great Day For Hockey...

Here's hoping everyone has a great holiday and takes the time to count all their blessings, hockey and otherwise...

The best part of game 6 in Philly is how its Sid that puts the nail in the coffin. Only adds to the Cryers pure hatred of him.

What a human. If Badger was still the coach, the loss to the Isles in 93 never happens.

Happy Turkey day. Too bad the Pens aren't playing today, that'd make the day complete.

Pens,all business on Tday.

Quote:
Two more injured Penguins took the next step to rejoining the lineup as high-scoring defenseman Alex Goligoski took part in his first practice since missing the previous five games with a lower-body injury. His partner most of the season, Jay McKee, also hit the ice Thursday, skating on his own prior to practice. McKee is currently sidelined with an infected finger.

I was just a little over a year old when Badger Bob died so I sadly do not remember his time with the pens. but I realize what he did for the organization and I respect him so much for it. I loved last year that they used "A great day for hockey" as the slogan & we won the cup. Badger was definitely with us last year.

I recall that shortly after being hired, Johnson looked at the empty ceiling on the Civic Arena, and exclaimed, "We need to hang something up there"

I have Center Ice, that's how I see them. Not sure what other ways there are, other than live streams online.

Sup dude! In Reno you're almost SOL when it comes to watching Pens games. It's either at Bully's (when there are no other big sports on...MLB, NFL, UFC, or NBA). I haven't seen hockey played anywhere else. There's also Versus, Center Ice, or streaming free online.

It sucks being in a desert where our "home team" is the Sharks. If you ever want to get together, sakelovinpens and I are Pens fans here in Reno. My roommate is a Pens fan as well. I'd love to get a contingent of us together and start watching Pens games together.
