Mike Rupp Hearts Bill Guerin

On Inside Penguins Hockey, Mike Rupp was asked which Pens player he would date if he were a woman:
On a more manly note: Video of Rupp’s hat trick last night:

Ray Shero was on NHL live yesterday:
He talked about Sid in the faceoff circle, the Pens injuries, the Winter Classic and more.

Just to once again show how badly Sidney Crosby is hurting the Penguins, NHL.com posted a new article about him:

“Today, Crosby is the Penguins’ faceoff specialist and one of the finest in the NHL.”

“In Pittsburgh’s recent home-and-home sweep of the Rangers, he won 24 of 39 faceoffs and now is tied for eighth in the NHL with a 57.1-percent success rate on draws.”

We wonder if the Pens can still trade Crosby for a mid-round draft pick.

In other Ovechkin news, he is listed as day-to-day with a “sore knee.”
Bruce Boudreau is such a great coach:

“He’s pretty reckless. It’s hard telling a guy that scores 60 goals a year to change the way he plays. At the same time, I don’t want to see him getting hurt. Maybe he has to pick his spots a little better….”

“I don’t think anything said is going to change the way he plays.”

Ovechkin was defiant when asked about his style of play. No one scores goals better, but he also loves to hit. He leads the Capitals with 18 goals, 30 points — and 44 penalty minutes. He missed six games earlier this season with an upper body injury, the first time in his career he’s had an injury that cost him more than one game.

“Why do I have to listen to somebody who say, ‘Hey, you have to change your game, and somebody going to kill you,'” Ovechkin said. “Well, nobody going to kill me. I just play my game and I just enjoy my time and I enjoy my life. It’s me, and it is what it is.”

“I play risky,” he said.

It’s good to know that Boudreau won’t try to change Ovechkin’s style and that Ovechkin won’t listen anyway.

We know everyone’s already seen it, but we need to post this:
Go Pens.
