We're working on getting Rage under contract for the offseason

Stoosh, you badassmotherfuc ker. Unreal.
COMMIT
One can only hope there's some truth in the news about Rage: The man is clear in his mind, but his soul is mad.

Looking forward to some classic kate smith shops.

Gonna be near DC for two weeks for work, Alexandria VA, Red Roof Inn; anywhere nearby that will have NHL network so I can see the Baaaassstaaaahn game?

There are a few places around that can help you get your fix. I'm not too familiar with Alexandria sports bars, but I know Bailey's in the Ballston Mall in Arlington (and 1 block from the Ballston Metro station) has Center Ice & a bunch of TVs and will play specific games by request.

Seems the caps play the same night, same time. What are the chances of finding a place that will put the Pens on? Nowhere in Pittsburgh that I've been to would play a caps game when the Pens are playing.

It all depends. In the case of Bailey's, Caps viewing parties are starting to move in there some, but the local "Caps fan HQ" is at a place right across the street. Admittedly though, it'll be tough for you to find a place that'll play any game other than the Caps game.
I suppose you could always check with your hotel which channels they have on their cable.

Here's a take on a classic.

they do have wifi if all else fails I suppose. Also, we do have a van to drive around, so the hunt begins Sunday night when we arrive.

Their fan base is gonna be more interested in watching Lucic try to end Crosby's life

Letang can slap his puck in my net any day. Had to use horrible pun for that f'n sick one.

Is that banner available in wallpaper size? Shit is SO cash...

Re: Stoosh. I hope he did not negotiate to be paid by the word.

After all that Cooke nonsense, look who's back on the ice...

And he's got exactly 1 week to get that groin in good enough shape to sit on a bench (team or penalty box) for 56:30.

Ha...I think you may be a bit too generous with that 3 1/2 minutes of projected ice time for Godard...

It's not what he does ON the ice, it's the threat of what he CAN do on the ice. It's like carrying a loaded pistol on your hip in public.

Congrats, Stoosh. Can't wait to see what you write as always. Took staff long enough! ;)
Not really hockey related, but feeling nostalgic. Tonight is probably the last time I get to take my kids to the Mellon Arena for an event. Hard to believe it.

Seems like this is getting Henry Kissinger for Howard Stern.

Damn, staff is going through cbloggers faster than Kate Smith through a bucket of whale lard. woooooo

Congratulations , gentlemen.

No little ball of hate?
Patrick Verbeek (b. May 24, 1964, Sarnia, Ontario) is a Canadian-born former ice hockey player who played for the New Jersey Devils, Hartford Whalers, New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, and Detroit Red Wings during his career. His nickname, "The Little Ball of Hate", was given to him in 1995 by Glenn Healy after fellow New York Rangers teammate Ray Ferraro was tagged as the "Big Ball of Hate".

Staff showed me the money.
Or in this case it was a 1993-94 Canucks Sergio Momesso jersey (complete with Cup Finals patch) and some bacon cheeseburgers.

For the last time...the "little ball of hate" is PAT VERBEEK

I apologize for getting it wrong. You can use your first ban hammer on me?

good god, Rage isn't getting a ban hammer, is he? There'll be nobody left...

congrats stooshie cakes. And to think I was there for your first hockey review on paper in Fr. Bird's class when you sent me the note about your man crush on Pavel Bure. I may still have it. The HoF will want it I'm sure.
