Couple of things:
  • Stoosh has been hired as a new writer. We're working on getting Rage under contract for the offseason.
  • The rules for the Rinkotology playoff version have been released. [Rinko Blog]
  • Big Ben is in a bad episode of Law & Order. [Mondesi's]
  • Crosby at the Skates and Plates:
  • All the pics from the Skates and plates are online. [PENS.COM]

  • And lastly from Pens.com, some shootout fun if you have nothing better to do. Orpik with a nasty move.

Does this mean Rage will have to get a twitter account or will He have a NTC (No Twitter Clause) in His contract?

I'm just wondering how they fit Rage under the TPB staff salary cap? Is there any truth that Rage had to sign a 30 year deal?

There are a few places around that can help you get your fix. I'm not too familiar with Alexandria sports bars, but I know Bailey's in the Ballston Mall in Arlington (and 1 block from the Ballston Metro station) has Center Ice & a bunch of TVs and will play specific games by request.

Seems the caps play the same night, same time. What are the chances of finding a place that will put the Pens on? Nowhere in Pittsburgh that I've been to would play a caps game when the Pens are playing.

although I've never been to any of their stores, I was told that Buffalo Wild Wings 'may' have the Center Ice package, allowing it's patrons the chance to watch any NHL game:

It all depends. In the case of Bailey's, Caps viewing parties are starting to move in there some, but the local "Caps fan HQ" is at a place right across the street. Admittedly though, it may be tough for you to find a place that'll play any game other than the Caps game.

I suppose you could always check with your hotel which channels they have on their cable.

during last year's series against the Crapitals, I had to pick-up somebody at the Orlando Airport in the late evening, after the Saturday night game (Game 5?):
I found a sports-bar inside the airport that had a dish, with 700+ channels, so i went that afternoon, had dinner & watched the game ~ that might be an alternative solution

The Pour House downtown (Eastern Market metro) is a Steelers bar. Every once in a while they'll have Pens parties but I would call ahead. Bailey's is a pretty safe bet to have it on at least one tv. Buffalo Wild Wings would probably have it, but I can't think of one closer to Alexandria than College Park, MD.

The Caps have nothing to play for, and their games are going to be useless down the stretch.

Their fan base is gonna be more interested in watching Lucic try to end Crosby's life....The Pens games will be on everywhere...

Soooo pumped for this game. Have tickets on the end the Pens shoot twice about as high as you can get, so I'll be with the Boston equivalent of Yinzers, let's call them Fahks.

I know someone is going to try to start shit because 1. it's right around st patty's day, which makes Boston feel real important about itself and 2. Matt Cooke will be playing.

Also, support for the Bruins has gone up since Cookegate. Yesterday, I saw my first Lucic Fightclub tshirt in a while.

Please let Godard be back for this game. Otherwise, sign Krysztof Oliwa to a 1 day contract.

We all know what Godard is there for, and - most importantly - so does he. It's just funny that he sits on the bench for such a huge portion of the game, but it really is imperative that he's in the best condition possible to play the very limited minutes he gets.
