GAMEDAY 62 – PREDATORS

1:00 PM

Mellon Arena
Listen to the game at [WXDX]
That last game before the Olympic break.
We don’t think we have to remind anyone what happened one year ago today.
But we will anyway.
Goodbye Michel Therrien.
These were the NHL standings at this point last year, prior to any games being played on the 14th:

John Curry has been called up from WBS.  He will back up Marc-Andre Fleury.
Brent Johnson did not practice yesterday.
Proposed Penguins Lines:
Chris Kunitz – Sidney Crosby – Bill Guerin
Pascal Dupuis – Evgeni Malkin – Ruslan Fedotenko
Matt Cooke – Jordan Staal – Tyler Kennedy
Mike Rupp – Mark Letestu – Craig Adams

Another early afternoon game, and this one isn’t even on NBC.
The Preds have lost three of their last four games.
This is their final trip to the Igloo unless, of course, the two meet in the Stanley Cup Final.
What are the odds on that happening?
During the Olympic break, the Preds will be hosting “Hockey Tonk: A Night In Smashville.”
Ray Shero talks about his time as assistant general manager in Nashville:

“When (former Predator’s majority owner) Craig Leipold owned the team, from Day 1 until he sold the team last year, they treated families and people with respect. (Nashville) is a great place to live and raise a family. A lot of players who have played in Nashville have stayed there after their career is over. It says a lot about the community and how they were treated.”

Projected Predators Lines:
Steve Sullivan – Jason Arnott – Patric Hornqvist
Joel Ward – David Legwand – Martin Erat
Jordin Tootoo – Cal O’Reilly – J.P Dumont
Wilson – Goc – Jones

Ryan Suter – Shea Weber
Dan Hamhuis – Kevin Klein
Francis Bouillon – Alexander Sulzer

Dan Ellis

Do it.
