What the Hell Happened: Valiant effort, but Pens fall in a shootout

With things being what they are, it is hard to find a ton of faults in this game. The Penguins got bad news before the game with both Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin out. After a slow start, the Penguins were able to push back with goals from the hapless Zac Sill, and Steve Downie. […]

RECAP: Game 45. Shit.

Got news for you. The Pens were out-shot 40-35 in this game. They were out-hit 40-31. They were out-scored 3-2. The Pens went 0 for 6 on the power play. And we’re still seeing more good than bad from this game. It’s tough to swallow right now, especially on the back end of losing three […]

City of Pittsburgh,Penguins and Hill District reach agreement on former Civic Arena site.

Last month it looked like leaders of the Hill District were going to sue the Penguins.

Now, they have reached an agreement.

According to the PG, an agreement was reached last night. [ PG ]

Reached after more than a week of negotiations, the settlement clears the way for the development of the new U.S. Steel headquarters on the 28-acre lower Hill District site. The Penguins had said the appeal could jeopardize that project.

Good on both sides for getting this done. In an area that is solely missing any signs of development, here is hoping that this deal brings projections of a prosperous community to life.
