QUICK CAP: Penguins pushed around by Sharks. Lose 5-3.

The Penguins jumped out to a 2-0 lead. They were quick, sharp, and looking like a team ready for the March push.

Then the San Jose Sharks kicked their ass. The Sharks played a violent game and erased 2-0 and 3-2 leads by the Penguins.

As promising as the start was, the ending was a cause for major concern. From the second period on, the Penguins were pushed around, outshot 34-12. Jeff Zatkoff went from looking in control to giving up a terrible game-winning goal. Sidney Crosby was a minus-5. Yikes.

And it doesn't get any easier. Ducks, Friday night at 10:00.

Three Stars

3. Olli Maatta

Maatta had two goals. He wasn't great in his own zone, but not a lot of Penguins were.

2. Joe Thornton

There was a point in this game where Joe Thornton was invisible. Then he took over.

1. Brent Burns

Burns played the entire game like he was the Ultimate Warrior. No other way to describe it. You think power forward in the NHL right now, you think Brent Burns. Hope James Neal took some notes.
