NHL: Phoenix Coyotes at Pittsburgh Penguins

QUICK CAP: Coyote fugly. Yotes get huge win for playoff hopes 3-2.

The Coyotes need all the points they can get. The Penguins are just trying not to lose any more players. The Penguins had plently of chances in this game, but the will just wasn’t there.

The Coyotes used a late second-period goal by Mikkel Boedker to jump ahead 3-2, and they held down the fort for the third period.

The Penguins looked out of sync, and that was to be expected after news broke today that Evgeni Malkin would be out two to three weeks with a foot injury.

That is now back-to-back losses at home for the Penguins with a big game coming up Thursday against the Kings.

The NOT top three

3. Rare misfire from Crosby. Basically sums up the game. Late chance, and Crosby flubs it.

2. Brooks Orpik out-worked.

Wonder who Brooks Orpik would blame if this didn’t happen to him?

1. James Neal. Come on, man.

Penguins were trying to tie the game late. James Neal did this.

Paul Stewart probably threw up from laughing. Can’t do that. Hate to pick on Neal, but yikes.
