The biggest takeaway from this game is that Jeff Zatkoff looked solid with a new weight on his shoulders. And it was another come-from-behind victory for the Pens, jump-started by Kris Letang.

— Crosby and Malkin saw some time on the PK, which we're hoping isn't just a preseason experiment.

— Kris Letang's backhand should be part of a package humans send out to alien life-forms.

— Also got to tip your cap to Zatkoff for coming up big in the shootout, even though Toews and Kane weren't involved.

— The preseason and (hopefully) the eventual start of the Pens' season has been completely overshadowed by the Pirates' miracle run. Go watch this.
