Notes & Lines: Malkin Out VS Sharks, TK Returns

First things first: Evgeni Malkin is out tonight with a lower-body injury. He's listed as day-to-day. Malkin has been hot recently, so obviously this is bad news. Even Joe Thornton is disappointed.

Second of all: Tyler Kennedy returns tonight. Apparently the Penguins are planning a tribute to him tonight, which, honestly, makes sense. He was with the team for six seasons, he won the Cup in Pittsburgh, he was a popular part of the team's "best third line in hockey" and he scored a couple of big goals as well. Then he turned into a huge whipping boy and now everyone hates him or something. Maybe he shouldn't have tried to become a goal scorer when he clearly isn't one.

Somewhere Kris Letang is really happy that Tyler Kennedy is back to face the fans' wrath, even if it's just for one night.

Robert Bortuzzo on wing can't possibly be correct, can it???

San Jose Sharks lines via Daily Faceoff:

We honestly had no idea that Brent Burns was a forward now. And, seriously, how good does the Sharks line-up look?
