LINK CITY: Projections, NHL Re-draft, Secondary scoring…

Seth Rorabaugh spotted this pic from Crosby's tumble Saturday night:

Craig Button released his playoff projections last night on NHL Tonight:

Pens currently have 38 points through 27 games. That's 1.41 points per game. 1.41*48=67.68. Devils look to be the 8 seed down in the abyss.

Pens vs Rangers in the first round would be something. The Devils look to be the 8 seed down in the abyss. The Caps and Flyers both on the outside. Yikes.

The Pens schedule for the rest of the week:

All teams currently in the playoff picture.

A re-ranking of the 2012 Draft and a whole bunch of shit:

Interesting piece via The Hockey News. They look back and re-rank the 2012 draft:

1. Nail Yakupov, RW (actually taken 1st by Edmonton)
2. Alex Galchenyuk, C (taken 3rd by Montreal)
3. Ryan Murray, D (taken 2nd by Columbus)
4. Jacob Trouba, D (taken 9th by Winnipeg)
5. Hampus Lindholm, D (taken 6th by Anaheim)
6. Mikhail Grigorenko, C (taken 12th by Buffalo)
7. Morgan Rielly, D (taken 5th by Toronto)
8. Filip Forsberg, RW (taken 11th by Washington)
9. Griffin Reinhart, D (taken 4th by NY Islanders)
10. Andrey Vasilevski, G (taken 19th by Tampa Bay)
11. Teuvo Teravainen, C (taken 18th by Chicago)
12. Scott Laughton, C (taken 20th by Philadelphia)
13. Tomas Hertl, C (taken 17th by San Jose)
14. Olli Maatta, D (taken 22nd by Pittsburgh)
15. Derrick Pouliot, D (taken 8th by Pittsburgh)

According to some, Pouliot was a major reach at where the Pens took him, so it is good to see him still in the top 15. Big moves by Olli Maatta to jump to 14.

According to @BovadaLV, Kris Letang is the favorite to win the Norris, at 7/4.

James Conley takes a look at secondary scoring and what it means for the Pens this year. Great read.

@felixpotvin made this histogram of 30-goal scorers:

@JoeyDavidson grabbed this. The Pens website from 1996.

Gretzky had some glowing remarks about Crosby.
